Hi all,

Since Thorpe Bay decided to cease running the traditonal 9er Open in September we have been looking a bit light on the ground for the Autumn Southern Circuuit, i.e. nothing between now and the Inlands.

For 2012 I am hoping to solve that by setting up a new Open in Lymington in early September.

However, for this year, there is a possibility of holding a joint event at Queen Mary SC with the Cherubs and B14s in the first weekend of Oct, but before I commit I wanted to get an idea of how many would support it, so please indicate your enthusiasm in the thread below.

Hi Dan,

I'd be keen to do the open, but a question for Paul M and how this might tie in/clash with the Mallorca event a week later.

Would it be possible to load boats from QMSC with Tony Ainsworth and do the Mallorca event too? Not sure yet if I'll be able to do both, but I'm guessing others need an answer to this too.

I will come to any event going, count me in, please take into account my mother in law is very ill so hope to come if possible. I am also up for any training at Stokes Bay or informal racing any where down south.

I am sorry to say that we have lost my mother in law last week .
It might be a good thing to have focus days over the winter at Stokes bay, Datchet or at some clubs during the year, this one day at Dachet would be a focus day for us to come down if we want to train/race with a good fleet of boats, I can see no halm in focus days as it would still work even if no visitors turned up, you would get a very good turnout of club boats one day a month and some visitors? Could someone from all the clubs with good fleets please make a list for the next 14 months as I would travel to get some good fleet racing, or for 4 months untill the open dates for 2012 come out, it could be stokes bay for the first Sunday in the month, Dachet second Sunday, Blackwater 3rd Sunday, Rutland 4th Sunday.
