2011 World Championship update
This could be a lifetime experience to
sail in Melbourne, and the opportunity to there if you
want to come along!
There are currently 25 sailors signed
up from Europe to go to Melbourne in January, with sailors
from Germany, Great Britain, Holland and Russia booked
in.
If you are considering coming, please
take a moment to make a decision sooner than later,
as currently there are two full size containers loading
in the UK and not many places left…
The plan is to load around the weekend
of November 6th – 7th with the first container from
Peters and May’s depot at Eastleigh (just north of Southampton)
and the second container from Ovington Boats. Shipping
takes approximately 38 days, so the plan is for the
containers to arrive before the Christmas / New Year
shut down. This means they’ll clear customs in good
time, and be availably to unload at Black Rock early
in the New Year.
We are currently taking £500 deposits
for a container space, and await the final cost (which
is expected to be around £650)

arrangements! But again, please don’t leave this too
long as flights get booked up for Australia pretty quickly
too!
