It's not all about
the racing ...
Mark Haine organised a Skiff Cruise from
Prestwick to Lamlash on the Isle of Arran.
That was 20 miles as the crow flies.
The weather picked up a bit for the return
journey and it was too rough for Kites – very exciting
and totally exhausting.
There were 3 Mustos & 2 cats – supported
by 2 RIBs.
It was great fun – fantastic to get to
Lamlash and talk to the local sailors – they were amazed.

Next year we will organise some skiff
cruises around the Firth of Forth and (hopefully) around
some islands on the West Coast as well.
It would be good to have some events in
the calendar early, but they are difficult to plan due
to weather and you need to know numbers in advance to
make sure you have good safety support.
Also, I think each boat should carry a
VHF Radio & Flares as a minimum.
