Lyme Regis SC - 6th - 9th September 2007
Racing at Lyme Regis is a great experience
that you'll not want to miss. The sheltered harbour
and open sea give one of the best sailing conditions
on the south coast of England.
Lyme Regis—known as the "Pearl of
Dorset"—is a pretty seaside town and gateway to
the World Heritage Site known as the Jurassic Coast.
So there is plenty to do and see for all the family.
The sailing club—situated on the famous
Cobb harbour—has a long history in Lyme. Over the years
the club has hosted many major events including National
championships, open events, and regattas; classes range
from Lasers to International 14s. This means they have
a very experienced race team for our Championships;
all are sailors who understand the thrills and pressures
of competing in such major events.
Musto Skiff Question Time.
The Musto Skiff class is well known for
being open and friendly with the top of the fleet keen
to pass knowledge and experience down the fleet to improve
the standard and enjoyment of all sailors. If you are
wondering if your are ready for the nationals then Musto
Skiff Question time is the reason you should attend
and move your Musto Skiff sailing on.
Each evening (in the bar of course) there
will be a Musto Skiff Question time with a panel of
experts keen to answer any questions.
The panel will consist of the following:
- Richard Stenhouse
- Ian Trotter
- Ian Renilson
- Rick Perkins
- Paul Manning
Plus any other notables who perform well on the day.
To keep the discussion moving and entertaining
Class Chairman Simon Reynolds will act as Dimbleby so
we can expect a well managed lively debate.
The start time of the session will be
announced via the text message service and questions
can be submitted in advance by text to 07763 133399
or to rick@mustoskiff.com
prior to the event.
If we suffer a postponement then we may
reschedule Musto Skiff Question Time to fill the gap
... all will be advised via the text message service.
Charter Boats
We have already arranged a couple of charter
boats for visiting sailors but more are still needed/available.
