Hi Musto Skiffers:
It was just as well that we postponed
the training from last weekend it was far too breezy
to sail all weekend.
I am pleased to now be able to confirm
that we can run the training this coming weekend 24/25
March and the weather forecast is looking a lot better:

Sat: 12 mph Easterly 7 degrees C
Sunday: 6 mph Southerly 8 degrees C
So a good training breeze and warm weather J
Please let me know ASAP if you plan to
attend as I need to confirm numbers to the club.
The only complication is that we will
share with an Optimist training weekend, so we will
have to share facilities and they will have priority.
Im sure we can work around that, but Im not sure yet
if we will be able to use the club video camera.
So the revised details are:
Musto Skiff Training Weekend
Date: 24/25 March
Venue: Dalgety Bay Sailing Club
Coach: Ian Renilson
Cost: £10 per day for non-DBSC members
£5 per day for DBSC Members
Food: Tea & coffee will be available
all day.
Bar meals will be available at lunchtime.
Accommodation: I have space available
at my house
There will be analysis & debrief of
each participant I hope it will be with a video camera.
Please arrive early and be ready to sail
immediately after a briefing at 10.30 am.
Two short sessions are planned for each
day, with a rough schedule as follows:
SATURDAY
09.00 10.30 Arrive & rig boats
10.30 11.00 On shore briefing
11.00 13.00 Session 1 - review of
sailing on a short course.
13.00 14.00 Debrief/ Lunch/ brief
for session 2
14.00 16.00 Session 2 - focus on issues
arising from session 1
16.00 17.30 Debrief
Evening meal - we will arrange a carry-out
at the club or a night out at a local restaurant if
people are interested.
SUNDAY
09.00 10.00 Arrive & rig
10.00 10.30 Briefing
10.30 12.30 Session 3
12.30 13.30 Debrief/ Lunch/ brief
for session 4
13.30 15.30 Session 4
15.30 16.30 Debrief
Pack up & depart
The club dinghy park has a locked gate,
so if you plan to bring your boat down early let me
know and I will make sure the gate will be open.
