UK Nationals Update - 42 pre entries with 3 weeksto go .... Thanks to all those who have entered early; this makes event planning much easier. But there are still many names "missing" from the list of entries that we'd hope to see.

The Musto Skiff Class Association and Ovington Boats are delighted to announce GreatKit.com have stepped up as the title sponsor of the 2006 Musto Skiff National Championships.

GreatKit.com are the distributor for Gerber and other specialist brands.

As part of their support for the event which will include some great prizes GreatKit.com are also supporting the registration of early entries by offering a FREE Gerber Clutch Mini Tool (shown right) to everyone who enters the event before June 30th 2006.

The event is all set to be a huge success and the support of GreatKit.com can only add to that.

This year we will continue to run competitions within the event to give everyone something to race for;

We will be running a silver fleet competition that excludes the hot shots and a buddy competition that with formalise the already healthy flow of information and advise from the front to the back of the fleet.

Daily prizes will also be awarded and you will only be able to win a daily prize ONCE ... so by the end of the week these will be awarded further and further down the fleet.

There will also be a number of "special awards" given as the committee see's fit. So any full on wipe outs or after hours nonsense could be awarded.

Here is a view of some of the generous prizes we have from our sponsors to be awarded at the UK Nationals and the Gold Cup in Travemunder.

In addition to the event sponsor our class sponsors: Musto, Hyde, Selden and Harken continue to support the class;

- As with the last two years we will be raffling off a Hyde logoed spinnaker

- Harken and Musto are adding to the prize pot

- Selden are contributing to a free BBQ on Saturday.

The entry fee is £85.

Please note that plenty of camping has been arranged on-site but please book it when you enter.

This event is also being advertised on www.yachtsandyachting.com, we are the first class to ever advertise an event in this way ... another first for the Musto Skiff Class Association. Here is the banner on the right.
