Musto Skiff Party
and Exhibition Racing

 Ovington Boats in association with Musto Ltd invite all Musto
Performance Skiff owners, suppliers and friends of the
class to the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham on
Crouch, Essex on Saturday 9th December to enjoy an end
of season party which will be combined with some exhibition
races for the Burnham Icicle Trophy.
The Burnham Icicle Trophy was originally
presented as the premier dinghy winter trophy, it has
been kindly offered to the class by the Royal Corinthian
Yacht Club for this event.
The Musto Performance Skiff has again
had a very successful season, and we would like to thank
all those involved in the project for their continued
support.
The exhibition racing is by invitation
only but the party is the key draw so please let us
know if you'd like to attend so we can plan for numbers.
For those not familiar with the venue
this is the location used for the Endeavour Trophy and
is an excellent location for watching racing - and of
course eating and drinking!!
Everyone who is not racing is welcome
to come along with family to join in the fun! There
will also be accommodation available for those who wish
to stay the Saturday night. Please contact
Paul to arrange this.
For those racing, we will be holding 5
races over short courses in front of the Royal Corinthian
Yacht Club as a spectator sport for all those watching
from the club, and any proceeds will be going to one
of 4 charities, these are:
- Cancer Research UK
- Essex Air Ambulance
- John Merricks Trust
- RNLI
- Plus one other to be nominated by the winner of the
fifth race.
Each boat will be sponsored with all the
money going to charity. The sails will of course be
logoed.
It is intended that one race must be sailed
with a member of the club’s Otter (youth) section, and
that races position will score extra points. You can
select which race to sail with your partner.
Ovington Boats and Musto Ltd will be hosting
the party after sailing.
