hanging from the crotch ...
This mod has been developed to attach the mainsheet
tail to the harness.
 Verdict:
PIMPED
Comments:
1. My mainsheet goes forward through the ring – same
as on your boat as displayed in “Pimp my skiff” section
of our web-site.
2. There is small spring inside the “device”, which
pulls the piston to the “locked” position.
3. The material of the “hook” is rather soft – so that
if you will fly forward of the forestay in case the
bow will bury into the heavy wave, the hook will unbend/unlock
and the mainsheet will go out of the “hook” (sorry for
my poor specific English).
4. It is easy to use: the ball of the “device” lies
nicely in your palm (close to the base of your thumb)
and you use just your two fingers to open/close the
“device”.
Hope it will help other sailors – at least, as an idea.
