Good stuff Steve - the Aus Musto Association is planning on getting deposits down and securing a few of these sites this week, so we will make sure this includes the BayPlay lodge.

Hi Ian,

I have stayed at the boathouse resort now 4 times, and its good and probably the best option. Its very close to the club, maybe that means a cost saving in the car rental, the accommodation is good, shops and the town/ dinner are walking distance and there is plenty for the family to do close by. Its a busy holiday period down there in January so I would avoid longer drives if I could.

Hi everyone,

i recently sent out an email to everyone on the container list asking about your plans for accommodation. I have received a lot of replies with people interested in a room/bed within the holiday rental. Hoping to have something far for specific locked in by Tuesday. If there is anyone else wanting to jump on board please let me know.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Everyone.
There has been a new development with camping sites. We have been granted some sites very close to the yacht club. We originally tried to get some sites through the ballot system however we were not lucky enough to have our name pulled out of the hat.
Nicky from the Blairgowrie Yacht Club has used her local contacts to get an amazing opportunity. This offer does not come up very often and cannot last very long. If this does interest anyone, jump on quickly. If you need help with camping gear let me know however putting gear in the container will make life very easy.
I have attached a copy of the letter I received today.

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if you can pass some information onto the Musto association and any one you know looking for accommodation in Blairgowrie in Jan

Yvonne, who manages the Camerons Bight Campground called me to offer some unpowered camp sites to the competitors if needed.
It’s usually done by a ballot system but she’s willing to forego that for the competitors
The only catch is they have to rent the site for 4 weeks from December 23rd – January 20th, its $227 a week for a family up to 5 so under $1000 for the entire time and walking distance to the club

They can call her on 03 5985 3288 or Email – tyronefs@bigpond.com

Kind regards,

Nicky Petzke
