Boat transport to Plama

I can arrange 2 possible transport options to Palma and back for less than £500 per boat, if we can get enough interest.

1.A transport company will take 10 boats (or however, many we can get in - stacked) in a lorry there and back. They have experience transporting boats to and from Palma. The cost is per lorry, so the more boats the lower the cost.

2. a trailer that can take about 6 boats but we will need an experienced driver and car.

Let me know ASAP if you are interested

Good options David

I know the Derwent boys have arranged their own transport too!

Hi Dave,

As discussed yesterday, please count me in.

Please let me know if you need any help with organising, running around or deposit and I'll be happy to help.

A friend of mine has suitable license (I think), and is familiar with driving big vehicles in mainland Europe. He would probably be able to help if we get stuck. I don't have access to suitable vehicle though.

Hi guys,

This sounds good! I'd be very interested if we can get enough people to bring the price down to around £500.

Thanks

Are there any updates on this?

I was thinking there would be more respondents. My flights and hotel are booked, just the small matter of getting my boat there now!

If everyone is sorted already, I will have to think again.

Any information are ideas would be helpful.

Hi Richard

I think we currently have 6 for the Truck. Spread the word. The more we get the cheaper the cost.

Hi David,

How are plans going?

The friend of mine I suggested is now definitely an option. If I rent or borrow triple trailer it looks like he can take 6 with 2 inside extra LWB van and one on roof.

I tried to PM you but message appears stuck in the outbox, don't think you got it.

Still more than happy with your plan. Is ferry booked / deposit required. Just over 2 months now, I'd like to get arrangements nailed as soon as poss.

Thanks, Richard
