Carnac - 2016 June - how are you getting there?

Postby paul manning » Fri Jan 29, 2016 1:05 pm

Hi all

I thought I'd start up this thread for people to post about spare room on trailers or people looking for a space on a trailer going to the Worlds in Carnac.

June will come along pretty quickly and it's worth sorting this sooner than later!

I will be driving from the South coast area, Lymington / Southampton. Planning on crossing from Portsmouth the Le Havre crossing.

I do have one boat space available if anyone needs a space?
Send me an email - wrightymps@gmail.com

Thanks Tom

I am looking to see if anyone is going that could take my boat from the North of England. I am looking to fly this time to save leave. If any of the Northern or scottish boys are going get in touch.

Cheers John

I have space on a triple trailer leaving Datchet - perfect if you want to leave your boat after the Datchet open a few weeks before.

Boat will be going down via Portsmouth and back, so will be there before Thursday lunchtime and back again for Sunday morning.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers
Mark

I'm looking to share a crossing from Portsmouth to St-Malo/Caen/Le Havre and the driving to/from Carnac. Leaving from the Southampton area. I can roof top my boat or may be able to get hold of a double stacker.

Let me know if you are interested.

[Edit: Now have a full double stacker]

Cheers,
Ed

Think I've been blown out by my travel buddy, so looking for new travel partners.

I've booked Portsmouth St Malo Fri 3 June @ 8.15 pm with overnight accom for 4 inc triple trailer. This crossing arrives 8.15 Sat. So with a bit of luck should make the 1st practice race ok.

Return, I've booked eurotunnel Sat 11 June @ 23.45, so straight there from prizegiving at speed!

The St Malo crossing has only had deposit paid at the moment but need full payment by 18 April and eurotunnel has been paid.

With Triple, I can take 2 boats plus mine. I live 10 mins outside M25 between A20 and A2 and am happy to drive but don't want to do to much globe trotting to collect boats, etc.

If you think these arrangements could work for you, please let me know. If I don't hear anything I can cancel the expensive crossing a go it alone on the Dover Calais - rather not though

Cheers, Richard Smith MPS 419
