BLAIRGOWRIE WORLDS: General Questions

Postby timhill » Fri Jul 14, 2017 12:02 pm

Hi All,

Use this thread to ask us (the Australians) any general questions about the Blairgowrie Worlds in 2018.

Keep accommodation queries to the prevous thread, use this one to co-ordinate everything else.

Cheers

Tim.

My Mrs is asking for a social programme.
Is there one?

Hi Jamie,

Trust you've recieved the information I sent through to an email address Paul Manning supplied to me earlier and please let me know if I've ended up in spam or something.

For those that are interested in the social program we're trying to put together I believe it starts with Richie Robertson taking all partners on a tour of Sorrento main street and shouting them all a coffee.

We've modelled the Blairgowrie event on others in that there is a welcome night, presentation night and so on for sailors, partners and friends. Beyond the regatta program there is heaps to do on the peninsula, some of which was featured in newsletter 3 -

This link (from the newsletter) has useful links - https://www.racv.com.au/membership/memb ... nsula.html

Melbourne also has plenty to offer. It's Australia's second biggest city and the cultural capital. It has topped the world's most livable city list for 7 years running (including this year) and is a great place to break the trip to the airport on the way in to or out of Blairgowrie. Some of Melbourne's attractions were featured in newsletter 6 -

Happy to email you more information if you haven't got them through Rick's emails or direct from me -

Hope to see you there -

Cheers

Tim.
