Kicker arm design

Would it be worth looking at improving the design of the kicker arm as they don't seem to last long?
The holes in the Aluminium wear out and extend, and the bolt bends. I had to replace mine after 2 years at a cost of £80, which seems a bit much.

I check this but thought we'd permitted the ends to be filled with epoxy and drilled.

At the moment the top end of the bar has 4 adjustment holes, but everyone uses the longest hole from the boom pivot so the other 3 settings/ holes are surplus. Is it possible to get a second set of holes drilled top and bottom so that we can just cut the bottom piece off when the holes elongate so the part lasts twice as long?

I can't imagine that filling the holes in a very thin section of tube last very long, unless you are suggesting we fill the end sections completely with epoxy and drill through that - should be a bigger bearing area and last longer. Alternatively the bottom mount needs a sleeve through the holes so the boat wears on that instead.

Happy to add it to the annual queries.
