Tapering spinnaker sheets

Quick question... how long should the tapered (thin) part of the spinnaker sheet normally be?
The rope cutting list gives a recommended number for the halyard, but not the sheet.

Sandy, it a rather personal thing, but I would think the taper should be much more than 1.5m otherwise you'll be running the thin piece around the ratchet in light winds.
