Have you viewed this yet?

http://www.mustoskiff.com/dvd/index.htm

92kgs isn't too heavy, plenty of sailors in that range.

Tom

Are you getting tea bagged upwind or downwind?

It's a matter of balance, start by trapezing off the hull, get settled down, then move out to the wing as the rig powers up.

Hi Rick,

i've try this next time on Wather. Is there a minimal Wind Speed for go to Trapez upwind?

Tom

You should be trapezing at around 8knots of wind speed.

I would suggest you adjust the trapeze height for the wind conditions. You will almost be standing up on the trapeze in light winds.

Also, if you sail into lighter wind do not bare away, this will stall the foils and you will immediately capsize to windward.

Today 6-10 kt - easterly Wind (Bise). Beautiful fall weather.
It works to go to the Trapeze wire, slightly out, staying on Gun-Wall, bend knees.

I need time to find the correct balance between out and heeling.

Sounds like you are making progress; it is all about balance.

When you initially start to heel to windward the natural reaction is to bear away a bit to power up the rig and give you time to get back in ... this actually makes things worse as the boat trips on the foils and heels to windward more dumping you in the drink.

When you initially start to heel to windward a quick luff will make the boat trip on the foils the other way buying you some time to get your weight in ...

Best thing to do is to practice ... sail along balanced then try giving a little short but firm luff ... feel if the boat heels to windward or leeward ... once you have your head around this you will have another tool in the box to help you stay dry ...
