Sail repair

Postby Iane » Tue Apr 18, 2017 11:18 pm

where do people get sails repaired?
I have a couple of tears in the luff material and I suspect a new luff would be the best solution.
The sail rips as I hoist or lower it, I have checked to see if there are any sharp edges in the mast track and feeder but can't see any. Do others have this issue?
Note it has the new plastic bolt rope.

Hi Ian. I have had sail repairs done by Martin at Outdoor Sewing Solutions over near Spofforth.
My main catches here as well sometimes when I pull it down.
