Hi,

My racks are very loose the glue has given way and the rivet hole has cracked out to the edge of the tube on 6 of the 8 rivet holes.
The holes for where rivets go thought are also not round any more.

So can i weld my racks at the 4 joints to over come this problem?

I've spoken to the technical committee and we would rather the wings were not welded. The biggest problem with welding them is that if you then dent the tube, you'll need to replace the entire wing assembly.

The best solution would be to take the wings apart, clean off the old Plexus and if necessary either drill new rivet holes or open the existing holes up and use a larger diameter rivet. Then reassemble gluing and riveting the tubes together.
