So in part iii that would the allow the elastic out the front of the wing or not? As per discussion earlier?

The rule drops the ss Becket required only?

If you did that would it be attached at "An additional position a maximum of 290mm aft of the front of the wing."?

Late in on this one....
Can we not just make it unrestricted? That would end all discussions on a minor issue that's let's be honest, is not going to affect the performance if the boat in speed or direction but makes the boat cleaner.

Maybe just have the 'bit of shockcord from the end of the wing to the chute mouth for aesthetics'
written in.

Bigger thing in the class to dedicate valuable time to than a bit of shockcord! :)

The class rules changes are managed by the survey; the survey runs the items brought forward by the technical committee who gather up all the input through the year.

If you want to effect change you need to put forward suggestions via your National Rep (Ben) or directly to the tech committee.

The rules are owned by the members; so if the class wants something it happens if that is the wish of the majority. It has always been that way. If you look back through the 12 years of survey questions you will find what has been changed over the years.
