It looks like we'll be having a big event/party at Derwent on the August bank holiday weekend. The thinking is that we're going to have the Derwent Musto Skiff open meeting this weekend instead of having another event a couple of weeks later (John Evans to confirm). Not many details released about the event yet except for the links below. We'll probably have about 9 or 10 Mustos from Derwent sailing and so with a few visitors it'll be a really good event.

Just had an email back from Nathan Batchelor about the event. Here's what we know so far:

"Organisation coming together for the 40th. Draft NOR being worked out this week. Band booked already for Friday night, will be another band Saturday and marquee etc. Racing wise – the idea is 3 races back to back Saturday – split in 2 fleets – a W/L for asymmetric and round the cans for conventional boats. Sunday will be an all in pursuit race."

Afternoon,

There isn't going to be a Musto Skiff open at Derwent in September - instead joining in with this regatta.

We have live bands lined up for Friday and Saturday evening, marquee, giant inflatable games, extra outdoor bar and a gourmet spit roast. Plenty of space on site for camping/ motorhomes and few neighbours to disturb! 3 races on the Saturday split between asymmetric and conventional fleets/ course, followed by an all in pursuit race on the Sunday.

If you could enter online ASAP via below link that’d really help us out for planning on numbers http://bit.ly/OvingtonRegatta

Hope to see you all there, Nathan Batchelor
