I've got a Go-pro I can bring down.

Starting and big fleet racing are key areas I'd like to spend some time on - but any subject will help me!

Cheers

Yeah starts for me as well. Positioning and getting speed off the line. Maybe set a short line compared with the number of boats to reflect a big fleet.

Ben,

I have a GoPro that you can fit on a head-cam or on the boat. It would be great if we could film some tacks and gybes from the experts. Maybe swap boats for a short while as the bracket is already in place on my boat?

I have a long list of things that need improving !
Gybing in 20 to 24 knots (currently 50:50 I have plenty of Go pro footage of failed gybes if you are interested).
Upwind speed in F3 to 4 when choppy.
Start lines.
Judging downwind laylines

I'll bring my GoPro too.

I'd like to do some work on:
- short/busy start lines
- Upwind and downwind tuning runs with some video analysis to see the difference between the boats
- general boat handling!

Thanks

Focus areas for me are:

- Rigging up
- getting changed
- launching
-Getting to the race area
- starting
- going upwind
- tacking
- upwind mark roundings
- downwind
- gybing
- Downwind mark rounding
- finishing
- getting back ashore
- getting changed

But if you pushed me for the priorities ones it'd probably be starting and upwind boat speed.

 think you're missing hydration and fueling between races

Hi Guys,

Sorry but need to drop out this weekend - the kids have both been struck down with chicken pox! It's bloody typical, I've been moaning that I need some training for ages and now i cant make it.

Have fun.

Rob.

Sorry to hear that Rob/Jason/Mark.....

For the rest of us the forecast is looking good - 8-13kts NE so still chilly but BBC reckons sunny all day!

Sunday looks breezy and wind back out of the SW so could be a classic Stokes Bay day.

So far planning to focus on:

- Short line/busy starts
- Upwind lane holding
- Upwind boat speed
- Gybing
- Downwind laylines

See you all on Saturday.

Cheers,

Ben

Thanks for running the training yesterday Ben/Mike. Learnt a lot and great to catch up with everyone!

Note to self: forecast of 6-8 knots actually means force 6-8 at stokes bay...
