Hi All,

Having spoken with Kit and Richard, the focus day on the 10th of August has been cancelled. This is due to it being the same weekend as the class training at Stokes Bay on the 9th.

Cheers

Nick

Hi all
I am interested in coming to the 2015 Rutland focus days next year again, they were great fun last year and one good reason to get back in the fleet again :D, the blast all the way down the lake is always good to end on after all that fun with Sten and KIT, THANK YOU again as always, also Nick, Tim for the great pictures and the others on the rib over last year.
I should be up and ready by mid Feb to make up the numbers and join the fun again :D

Hi Chris,

Yep to confirm we will look at dates in the New Year. We wont have the rib or the more formal coaching from Kit and Sten this year, to make sure things are flexible. They will provide good opportunities for everyone to get together and exchange ideas and work on exercises etc. in the run up to Garda.

Hope to see you at Rutland soon.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Nick
Just looked at the Rutland website for the focus days for 2015, I think they are still waiting for all the info from all the fleets at Rutland before they put the full calender on the site that includes the focus days for individual fleets, the link is their but not live yet.
Get my boat tomorrow so will around for a play soon, a blast all down the lake is always fun just need some rise in temperature now.

Hi Chris,

The training days at Rutland this year are:

17 May
21 June
16 August
8 November

As above we wont have the rib or the more formal coaching from Kit and Sten this year, to make sure things are flexible. However the days will provide good opportunities for everyone to get together and exchange ideas and work on exercises etc. in the run up to Garda etc.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Cheers

Nick

Thanks Nick.
I like the idea of focus days and know we can sail and have a great day in a group, 4 days this year gives 8 club races in the afternoon, we could have a best 6 results out of 8 just for the focus days at Rutland result series? not official but just for fun.
I will try and do all four days if possible.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

Many thanks for your message. Im pleased you are planning to come along to the focus days. I think it would be good to meet up at the beginning of each focus day and discuss what we want to do as a group, but Im sure we can fit some racing in too.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Cheers

Nick

We have some new players now for Rutland for next year or over the winter, we welcome Andrew Wilde to the fleet in boat 323, we are doing informal training at Carsingington at the moment with some interest from others talking about joining the fleet. :D
We are looking forward to a blast around Rutland again. There are some nice waves that come down the lake just left of the clubhouse when the wind comes from the west. :D
