An open invitation to sail your Skiff at The Blackwater Sailing Club.

http://blackwatersailingclub.org.uk/

We have an expanding fleet of Musto skiffs at our club and are encouraging more. We currently have 6 boats in the dinghy park and have members actively looking for boats.

This season we are hoping to sail most weekends with a minimum of 3 boats out each weekend, more when the students are home for their long summer break.

Our club policy is that a visitor can sail at our club a few times without joining. Located on the East Coast 40mins outside London we are a great alternative to the south coast for a weekend. The water we sail on is very safe and conditions are often manageable, its a great place for those learning.

Our racing format is published on the website above. We are tide restricted so sail 2hrs either side of high tide. We try to fit in x2 50min races back to back in a mixed fast handicap fleet.

If anyone is interested in coming and joining us for a weekend just email me for details richardmevans@hotmail.com or 07793 217 997

If other clubs have similar visitor policies to ours it would be good to post a reply to this thread and I can amend the title to suit.

Stokes Bay have an open policy - we actually launch off the public slipway - so it is possible to park in the adjacent car park and sail for free, however, for £5 per day, you can use the club facilities and join in with the racing.

We race Wednesday evenings (1 race - start 1900),
Sat afternoons (1 race - start 1500) and Sun mornings( 2 races - start 1100).

If you are coming down it is well worth contacting the Stokes Bay Musto Fleet or the Club Administrator as you may be able to leave your boat in the compound for short periods.
