Rutland Open Meeting - 26/ 27 Mar with our Ovington stablemates

Reasons to go...

1. Fantastic Competition
Rutland is the hotbed of talent - home of Sten and Tom 'Sausage' Wright (apparently he earned this nickname at the Worlds and 'you had to be there').

2. Quality Accommodation
...especially tolerable if you are oblivious to the varied nocturnal emissions of 5 fellow Musto Skiff sailors in compact bunk bed style living.

3. Going up Edith Weston with a load of mates on a Saturday Night.
Edith Weston is the local village and the Wheatsheaf is the local pub.

Further details as they are posted...http://rutlandsc.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=86&Itemid=99

Who is going?

I plan to be there. Is anyone keen for a bit of Friday sailing. Thinking of going up Friday morning, rig up and get a few hours in the afternoon.

The more the merrier!

Is there any more information on this? I can't find the NOR or even a scheduled start time for this weekend.

Good idea!
Spoke to the club office.

Schedule:
Saturday
11:00 briefing
11:55 warning signal
4 races back to back planned
35 min target time per race

Sunday
10:55 warning signal
3 races back to back

And entry can be done on the day.
They also referred me to the 29er website, so their MEIs etc may apply.

Well done Tom:

Please someone tell me that Bruce's DNC in Race 5 was not a result of a BST oversight ...

Rick

Why ruin a good story? - certainly that's an angle that will be explored in a forthcoming article that will blow the truth on the Rutland Open.

Headlines

Tom Won
Bruce Second
Mike Lost (all the skin on his fingers).
