Taken the plunge

As a result of the severe lack of second hand boats available, I've taken the plunge and ordered a new one which arrives in May :) . I had a go on the demo boat last weekend in approx 15 - 20 knots, having never trapezed this was a bit of a mistake! I spent most of the time swimming.... The second ride of the day was as a passenger, even two up downwind this boat is a rocket ship!!! The only thing I have to do now is learn to sail it...... can anyone donate an old main so I don't trash the new one?? Look forward to seeing you on the water.

Welcome to the class; I am sure you'll find plenty of people willing to help you learn. What club are you sailing at?

I'm at Rutland, it's a popular class and everyone's really friendly! My last experiance trying to sail the boat 'scared' me a little. It's a totally different beast to the Laser. I'm hoping the wind strength doesn't go above 10 knots for the whole of June in order that I can get used to it.....

Yeah; there is a good fleet there so you should recieve plenty of assistance.

Marc,
Sorry I didn't make it last Sunday! I decided to stay in London for Sunday lunch at a friend's house rather than sailing in the snow. See you in a few weeks. Hope it all goes well.

Rich,

I'm back from my hols and the boat has arrived, know doubt I'll catch you at Rutland over the next few weeks..... The better half has given me permission to sail most Sundays in order to 'crack' the new toy!
