I'm thinking of a MPS for next season - however I'm 68Kg and 5'7''.
The class data shows that 13% of MPS sailors are in the weight range - however I want to be sure that someone of my size will be competitve across the wind range.
Are there any examples of MPS sailors of similar size who are at the front of the fleet in light and heavy winds as I don't want to buy boat whichI'm light too to be competitive once I've finally mastered it?
Also where are there boats racing in the Southampton/Solent area - I've see the invite to the Stokes Bay Winter series - are there boats to sail against any where else?
Cheers
John

Dan Hendersen was 2nd at the nationals and is of similar dimensions; as is Mike Palfreyman.
Ant Chapman too is in that range...
However, there is no doubt that bigger is better in strong winds as with any class but the MPS responds well to good technique.
I am sure the guys at Stokes Bay would be happy to show you the ropes.
