MPS in Canada or USA East coast

Hello all,

I've been reading this forum for the past 6 months and have finally decided to come aboard - great site, lots of great help between people, and lots of fun! I presently live in Canada on the East coast in Nova Scotia. I am unaware of any MPS out this way - would any Canadian or US guys please fill me in. I'm looking for a used one here in Canada that maybe someone now has no time to play with or is moving to something else. One near Boston area in US would also be great as that's within a long days drive. I've been talking with other guys here on the site wrt getting a new one or one from UK and shipping - everyone has been great with help and shipping quotes - if I have to go new I'll be pushing the limits of the pocket book (a new one in CDN dollars after shipping and taxes is about 19,000.00) so a used one would be better. Not to worry all my toys are now up for sail!! 2005 BMW 1200 GS, 49er #505, and canoe!

Thanks guys

cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew

I would suggest your best bet is to talk to Chris at Ovington Boats to see when he has a container going out.
Alternatively, I could speak to Rondar for you. They build the Viper, and ship regularly to the Boston area?

Paul,

Thanks for looking into this. I do have Chris's email and have had a chat - very helpful. I have also been e mailing with Andy Hewitt and his MPS and he was able to get a rough quote of 1250 US to Boston. The GBP is holding its value well against the US/CDN currency and there's not too to much difference between used and new if looking at the 300 numbers. So I'm building the kitty, and waying weather to go new or used and not sure where a used one would still in the US/CDN market - and then I think, what does it matter - you only live once!!!

once again thanks,

cheers,

Andrew

Andy

I'll ask anyway.

At least it'll give you an idea on a consolidated shipping concept.
