For anyone interested in having a test sail.

The demo boat is being kept by me at Rutland Sailing Club over the winter.

It will be at London for the Excel International Boat Show Ovington regatta, but otherwise it's free.

If anyone would like a test sail, please give me a call.

I've received this very nice message from Anthony, who came over for the last weekend of the Stenhouse skiff training.

He's asked me to post it on the forum.

Dear Paul,

It is well known that Greek people are renowned for their kindness and hospitality.

Now I come to realise that English people could be accommodated under the same quality too.

I have no words to describe how obliged I am by your hospitality and help.

I had a wonderful time in England and part of it was due to your presence.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We'll keep in touch and I will be at your disposal if you need any help.

I don't need to mention that whenever you feel like you are more than wellcome

in Athens or any time during the summer at my place in Monemvasia.

See you,

Antony.

P.S. Thanks very much for putting on my pictures on the net.

The demo boat for RS700 was at Carsington and with the help of a well motivated person helped with the sale of three brand new RS700 at the club in 2008/9.
It has gone now and with the way money is, do we have demo boats available and where can people have a go in one.
For people like myself, the VAT rise in January would make me get one now before the rise. are a lot of boats going to be left/sold down under in january?

Hi Chris

The MPS demo boat was sold earlier in the year, but now have a replacement that will be sailed at the UK Nationals by a class member from Australia.

It will then be available through me for test sails.

Just to make sure it is all ready to race, the boat is actually Sten's old boat that has won the Worlds, Europeans and UK nationals, so I'm assuming it'll all work just fine!

If you know of anyone who might like a sail, or if the boat can be left at a club for a pre-agreed duration, please let me know.

Thanks Paul
I have joined Draycote now as well as Carsington, We are now starting to get a Fleet of MPS at Draycote so I am supporting the W/L racing and turning up most Sundays at Draycote to help the fleet on its way, I am sure the Musto will take off at Draycote once we a few boats out every week. It is just too much time for me to get to Rutland every Sunday.
Good news about the demo boat.
Chris
