International committee

Class constitution objectives

The objects of the Association are to promote and further the interests of the Musto Skiff Class throughout the World. This will be achieved by:
Improving the skills of Musto Skiff sailors through effective training and other complimentary development programmes.
Organising a competition programme (Google calendar) from national association input for World, National and Regional levels and promoting competition at International level.
Promoting the benefits of membership of the Association to new owners.
Informing members of Association activities and technical developments relating to the Musto Skiff.
Working with the class builder to maintain standards and developments
Liaise with the national class associations
Assist the national associations with organisation and management of major championships
Work with World Sailing to ensure the class maintains its international status, including the completion of annually required documentation
Create and maintain the class rules
Create and maintain the class constitution
Manage and promote a range of social media channels for the class
Manage the class advertising
Manage the class website
Manage the class monthly eNewsletter
Manage a range of class wide social media channels
Maintain the used boat and equipment page on the website
Produce an annual class online survey available for all members and none members to complete. To act on the majority decisions where required
Encouraging and controlling development (Cunningham, outhauls etc.)


National committee

Ensure all sailors competing in the class are fully paid up members of their national association and thereby the world association
Maintain a record of the class members and forward this to the international secretary to maintain an complete list and to issue membership packs annually
Liase with their national federations on national matters
Organise nation championships and regional open meetings
Encouraging and controlling development (Cunningham, outhauls etc.) forwarding any recommendations to the international secretary to add to the annual survey
Organise national training weekends
Support the training of sailors and coaches
Support national class promotion
Promptly supply event reports and images to the international PR for publishing on the website and monthly eNewsletter
