I received my "Musto Skiff DVD by World Champion - Richard Stenhouse - K16 taking control" today, thanks Sten! I've been anxiously waiting for it, but it did have to fly around the world to get to Seattle. Today it was snowing outside, so it was a great day to veg out and watch more talented sailors sailing the MPS.

I think the most amazing part about the DVD is the camera shots. They are excellent, both in how they were shot and how good they look. Not to mention the variety of shots and angles. The nice tight camera angles, good focus, crisp images, and just good framing over all make the DVD a pleasure to watch. The video has a great sense of speed which you lose on all of the online video's after they are scaled down and compressed for the web. Some of my favorite shots are the bow cam, and any of the poll mounted camera shots. I also enjoy that most of the cuts are nice long, so that you can really see what the sailors are doing. Five stars out of 5 for the great solo camera work.

Content-wise all of the information is excellent. As an American I am a sucker for British accents, so all of the narration is great. I only had to stop the video once or twice to figure out "British" slang. :) All of the information is top notch, and it's consistent with what I have been taught at the MPS training events.

It's great DVD, beautifully shot as well as educational. The Extras section is really nice as well. The demo of the sail shape is great, and its really helpful learning some of the beach technique. I usually just sail off of a dock, so I don't have very much beach sailing experience.

Great work!

Oh... and I did have to pay retail + International Shipping, so I'm not a shill. :)

I was going to be pissed at you bastards until you showed all the capsizing at the end, good idea, made me feel not so bad as a mere mortal.

In all honesty though, great DVD, lots of great ideas/techniques for me to practice since I can't come sail against any number of decent people. Hopefully I can one day sail with all of you and not embarrass myself.

No worries Ted, I think you will be amazed at how much progress you make in Florida.

A week on the water with others around will go along way.

I'd like to say that I also have the DVD, and it is brilliant.
I think I've probably watched it well over 10 times (I've only had it a month!)
