49er kite price. .

Postby rme » Mon Jul 18, 2016 12:30 pm

how come ovi are charging £25 more for a 49er kite as they are a musto kite (more than twice the size)?

is the design changing and they are selling off old stock?

wouldnt it be lovely if ovi applied the same reduction to musto kites and sold them at £286

Volume of sales perhaps, I bet they sell a few hundred kites to 49er a year, or perhaps Hyde are more expensive than the 49er sail makers. What about shipping and transporation costs

I'd buy two new kites a year if they were 300 quid though!

The list price at the start of 2016 for a 49er spinnaker was £1,450 inc VAT.

There is a new design 49er spinnaker coming in during September which will render all current stock virtually obsolete - hence huge % discount to try and clear our current stock of spinnakers.
