LOCAL CLASS WEBSITES

Postby duchonic » Mon May 09, 2016 9:33 pm

4 out of 8 flags under "local class websites" on mustoskiff.com are obsolete and 1 is redundant.
What's up with these countries? Any plan to support these countries?
Austria -> Europeans (past) -> dead
Australia -> Worlds (past) -> dead
France -> Worlds (future) -> dead

Hi,

3/8 what? I am not sure which sites you are disappointed by; perhaps you could add more details.

Each of the 8 destinations are local on-line resources that give people in those countries a local point of contact that is perhaps more familiar to them than the international site.

Each of these sites are maintained by a class association volunteer or one of Ovington Boats dealers.

Of course it would be nice to see some of these sites refreshed a bit and updated more frequently but the volunteers and business that maintain them no doubt have limited time to update the site.

The committee is very grateful for the efforts that people have put into the local sites and if any regional webmasters want any resources such as images and logos we have plenty but I suspect the biggest issue is the time the local owners have to put into these sites ...

Ah; OK. Well some of the sites are dealer info pages so I guess they are not that entertaining but they serve a purpose.

The other sites, as I say above, are maintained by volunteers who give some time to the class in their region to help things along; of course it would be nice if they had time to do more to make the sites better but I accept the limitations of what a volunteer is willing to give in terms of time.
