Re: 2017 - World Championships skippers meeting

We have a boat that can win handicap events if it is windy, if the wind is light the boat will not perform to its handicap, is the musto handicap wrong in a force 4 to 5 also wrong in a force 1 but correct in a force 2 ? In a few years time we might have two legal rigs and a legal smaller sail as we...

Re: Growing midland fleet

Welcome to the fleet Ian Ferguson at Blithfield sailing club, as the handicap went down on the musto over the years the boat went out of Blithfields clubs allowed boats limit on the water, Ian has said the club is trying to change the clubs rules, also this would means the boat would be able compete...

Re: Growing midland fleet

It was hard telling him that in the long run the 700 will cost him more than the musto, such a sham for such a young person in a good position just leaving school, also he has a window at Carsington of lots of free training in the musto in the school holidays. I could rig and sort his musto for free...

Re: Lightweight/Female Helms - Is it worth it in a Musto Skiff?

A great video from Dave for training https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=you ... UWFe9Kkw0Q How much harder is it for the lighter helms to keep the nose up after going over that wave that Dave went over in that race at the worlds. Such a great training video for us all, Thanks Dave :D

Re: Growing midland fleet

Sorry Mark, I have a new puppy dog so making the most of the time before he is all grown up and the rest of the Carsington fleet have small children so find two day events difficult. The Musto takes two people and one suitcase according to the CE mark, any room for a dog on my musto instead of the s...

Re: Mast head crane

Lookes like a hole in the head crane is not good idea as mine broke in a force 5 to 6 at carsington. It went with a right bang then the main started to drop down, do ovingtons supply the crane without the hole if asked too?

Re: Skiff Skills Development Program

I am 57 and know that on a windy day the musto is much easier to sail than my laser 1, after four hours racing in the laser its like doing a marathon run but fours hours in the Musto is a walk in the park so is it an old mans boat :D The easiest way to stop swimming when you start is not to trapeze ...
