Calling for Agenda items for
the AGM
We will be holding the usual MPS Annual
General Meeting (AGM) at Lake Garda in a couple of week's
time.
If you have any issues that you feel need to be discussed
please get them to Rick (rick@mustoskiff.com) by Monday
September 13th.
If you can't make the event it doesn't
mean you don't have a voice, just send in your issue
and we'll discuss it and then report back.
We will run an on-line survey again
this year and the final decisions will be made there
so that everyone gets a vote. It's you class so take
your opportunity to have a say!!

A
good turnout of 30 boats showed up at Sunderland for
the Diamond Drilling and Cutting sponsored national
championships. Kev Anderson won the event scoring three
wins from the six races that uncooperative weather allowed
the race officer to run .

MPS training weekend was held at Rutland SC on the 7/8th
August and with a turnout of 11 boats ranging from beginners
to the current world champion it was a great spread
of talents. The aim of the weekend was not only to help
the new guys in the fleet, but also to improve the higher
end of the fleet by doing some fine tuning. 
Each
year the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club invites the UK
National Champion from each major class to compete in
a Champion of Champions Event that is sailed on the
river Crouch in RS400's. 
In
1990 Northern Skiff sailors Kev Anderson and Ian Trotter
cleaned up at the Prince of Wales Cup (POW) in the International
14's, little did they know that there boat was bugged.
The long lost tapes were recently recovered having had
their government classification dropped and translated
by another ex-14 now MPS sailor Tony Lewis.
