| Welcome to the February edition of
the Musto Skiff Newsletter. Since the last newsletter
Richard and Kit Stenhouse, Tim Chapman and Will Crocker
kept the class flag flying at the Steve Nicholson Memorial
Trophy at Northampton on 29th January. Congratulations
to Kit who took fifth place overall, one better than
Richard. You can read the whole report from Tim on the
website.
The Icicle series at Thorpe Bay continued last weekend
with seven MPS on the water. Paul Manning made the trip
over from Burnham to watch and sounded reasonably sympathetic
when I got back to shore 10 minutes after the start
with my tiller extension in two pieces. It was a different
matter in the bar later when he and the rest of the
fleet had a good laugh while watching the whole incident
on video – cheers lads!
The MPS was on display at the Düsseldorf boat
show with reports feeding back of more sales. The new
site for the class in Germany hit the web to join the
English, Spanish and Swiss sites that help to spread
the word about the class further around the world. When
you next have a chance, take a visit to http://www.mustoskiff.de.
Finally, congratulations to Joachim Harpprecht, the
first honorary member of the class association. Without
Joachim we probably wouldn’t be sailing such a great
boat and you wouldn’t be reading my introduction to
this newsletter.
I am looking forward to seeing lots of you visit the
class stand at Alexandra Palace in a few weeks, and
if we don’t see you there, hopefully we will see you
at an event very soon.
